Blood Systems, Inc.
Under general direction, provides clerical and administrative support to the department related to donor eligibility issues, scheduling of specialized donations procedures and management of research recruitment process. Initiates, investigates, and concludes decisions related to product investigations and deviation management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
Assures quality customer service to all customers.
Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
Performs functions of Donor Relations Department associated with donor eligibility and scheduling of specialized procedures.
Performs routine office management duties.
Participates with follow up of product safety issues by initiating a Product Investigation Reports, initiating the deviation management system in response to the receipt of information that may impact product safety.
Provides efficient scheduling of specialized donations (therapeutic donations).
Manages research donor processes
Upon divisional need, provides assistance to Donor Qualification and/or Specialized Donations.
Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required
License Practical Nurse, Paramedic, Medical Licensed Technician, or degree in health sciences preferred
Previous medical terminology experience required
Previous administrative experience preferred
Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities
Must be able to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Knowledge of computers, photocopying equipment and fax machines
Strong customer service skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality related to internal and external customer issues
Ability to complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy
Ability to work in an environment that includes constant interruption and the need to continuously evaluate and manage workload priorities
