The Clinical Nurse Specialist works collaboratively to improve the quality of patient care and promote desired patient outcomes in a ECMO/Critical Care designated population/specialty practice. The CNS functions as a leader within the three spheres of influence (Patient/Client, Nurses and Nursing Practice, Organization/System), and is an active participant in the collaborative practice framework.
Masters Degree with a major in nursing with a clinical nurse specialist focus and National Certification Required.
Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) competency.
Five years of successful work experience in nursing with two years in the specialty area preferred; experience with ECMO; experience as a CNS or Nurse Leader required.
Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient needs and CNS workload.
Specialty Certification preferred.
License or certification
Current RN license to practice in Florida.
Clinical Nurse Specialist Certification, or documented waiver, in designated specialty by a nationally recognized body deemed acceptable by the Florida State Board of Nursing.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
8:00am - 5:00pm; Monday - Friday
