Clinical Education & Training is responsible for supporting the safe and effective use of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. products through education, clinical research, and training of clinicians and employees to facilitate technology adoption and advance technique and skills refinement.
Systematically identify and develop new as well as maintain and enhance existing scientific collaboration and exchange with external clinician partners, hospital teams, educators and investigators within a defined geography.
Build and maintain technical and clinical expertise across cardiovascular and peripheral vascular therapeutic areas to engage in deep scientific discussions.
Manage strategic relationships with key opinion leaders and provide requested disease state, epidemiology, diagnosis and relevant treatment education. Work with internal partners to accurately and effectively communicate clinical trial results to key opinion leaders in advance of pertinent congresses.
Drive creation and optimization of physician speaker materials in collaboration with cross-functional partners (Medical Affairs).
Drive KOL prioritization and execution in partnership with marketing.
Drive ongoing clinical trial execution at study sites as directed by internal clinical development operations and/or external distribution partners.
Lead clinical trial recaps with the internal partners in a timely manner (including pertinent competitive trial outcomes).
Provide technical expertise for all major product lines at Cordis, and address physician objections as needed.
Act as liaison representing Field needs to the Clinical Education and Training team for development and delivery of solutions based programs.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience, advanced degree and/or clinical licensure preferred (PhD, RN, PA, etc.)
Minimum 5 years recent experience in a sales, training or clinical education role within cardiovascular device space
Extensive knowledge of interventional cardiovascular procedures and the cardiovascular medical device space
Valid driving license and ability to travel extensively within assigned geography (50 - 70% travel)
Computer IT literate - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM
Ability to train across multiple clinical areas and products to a diverse audience base
Highly developed interpersonal, networking and influencing skills
Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others while building and maintaining strong business and customer relationships
Used to working independently with a high competency in time management while traveling across multiple locations
Sound presentation skills and an understanding of adult learning principles to educate and demonstrate products to a variety of clinical audiences
