A competent Clinical Research Scientist candidate must perform certain job duties and responsibilities. Positions as Clinical Research Scientist involve participating in the managing protocol development, informed consent, investigator brochures, and study budgets and participating in identifying and selecting clinical investigative sites. Candidates for Clinical Research Scientist jobs candidates must also participate in planning and implementing clinical trials, assist in preparing clinical study reports, annual reports, and ongoing data reviews; ensuring time safety reporting at assigned investigative sites; ensuring timely data collection at assigned investigative sites; and assisting in identifying outsourcing vendors. Clinical Research Scientists also set up meetings; conduct presentations and prepare request proposals (RFPs); assist in negotiating the scope of responsibilities with outsourcing vendors; assist in managing external vendors and CROs; and provide support to prepare and present at investigator meetings as required. Clinical Research Scientists report to the senior director, clinical research and development, and will help plan, accomplish, manage, and report the results of clinical trials. Qualifications needed for Clinical Research Scientists are BS/BA degree or equivalent and at least one to two years of industry clinical research experience. An understanding of ICH, GCP, and relevant regulatory requirements is highly desirable, along with strong attention to detail, solid time management skills, ability to multi-task, work independently, and travel globally up to 20% of the time. Candidates for Clinical Research Scientists will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent computer skills, primarily with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
